Can I have a cheat meal?

Maybe the most asked question I get about the carnivore diet… Overall health and wellness is what we are striving for. It’s a long road but it can be achieved by dedication and consistency. So, can you have a cheat meal? Of course you can, although I have some recommendations first:

1. Before you consider integrating cheat meals, make sure you can go a minimum of 30 days of strict carnivore. I prefer 60 days. It takes some time for our bodies to heal and to make the transition to full carnivore. Once your body is ready, you will know.

2. Lets no longer call it a cheat meal, and lets call it a reward meal. There is no such thing as a cheat meal, it does nothing for you. But by being consistent on the carnivore diet is paramount, and rewarding yourself with a treat is completely normal and perfectly safe

3. I highly recommend that you have a cheat meal, not a cheat day, or a cheat weekend, but once single cheat meal every two weeks… More than that can be dangerous and possibly pull us back into the world of eating too much junk foos and not being able to achieve our physical and health goals..

4. Lastly, enjoy that cheat meal like there is no tomorrow! You’ve been working hard, you’ve been dedicated and consistent, and now is the time to reward yourself for being amazing!
